Beijing world championships mile relay gold medallist Novelene Williams-Mills was the lone Jamaican winner on the opening day of the two-day Adidas Boost Boston Games in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Williams-Mills topped the field in the women’s 400m clocking 51.69 seconds to finish ahead of American Courtney Okolo who was timed at 51.93 seconds.

Anastacia LeRoy took 5^th place in in 52.62 seconds.

Roxroy Cato was 3^rd in the men’s equivalent in 49.41 seconds, while Jaheel Hyde was 6^th in 50.31.

Former Manchester High star Natoya Goule came home 7^th in the women’s 800m in a time of 2:02.06 seconds and Kemoy Campbell failed to finish in the men’s 5000m event.
