Novelene Williams-Mills lone Jamaican winner on day one at Adidas Boost Boston Games 2017

Beijing world championships mile relay gold medallist Novelene Williams-Mills was the lone Jamaican winner on the opening day of the two-day Adidas Boost Boston Games in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Williams-Mills topped the field in the women’s 400m clocking 51.69 seconds to finish ahead of American Courtney Okolo who was timed at 51.93 seconds.

Anastacia LeRoy took 5th place in in 52.62 seconds.

Roxroy Cato was 3rd in the men’s equivalent in 49.41 seconds, while Jaheel Hyde was 6th in 50.31.

Former Manchester High star Natoya Goule came home 7th in the women’s 800m in a time of 2:02.06 seconds and Kemoy Campbell failed to finish in the men’s 5000m event.
