Head of Nutrition Products Limited, Andrew Narine, says the agency will be providing several new and healthier products when it restarts operations in April.

NPL, which supplies meals to students under the National School Feeding programme, has been on a break for two years, due to the Covid pandemic.

The entity has also come under the microscope for several breaches of government procurement guidelines highlighted by the auditor general.

Speaking at the public accounts committee of parliament on Tuesday, the head of NPL noted that re-formulated products are being developed by the entity.

He noted that the NPL is working with other stakeholders in the development of the new products.
