The National Works Agency (NWA) says majority of the road ways that were impassable due to heavy rainfall on Tuesday have been cleared.

A number of roads in St Mary, St Ann and Portland were affected by flood waters and scores of commuters including students were left stranded.

NWA Communications Manager Stephen Shaw says only one road remains impassable in St Mary.

Meanwhile, Mr Shaw is urging citizens not to attempt crossing flooded areas.
