Effective next month, customers of the National Water Commission (NWC) will be seeing an increase in their service bills.

This follows a rate adjustment granted by the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR).

In a statement, Corporate Communications Manager at the NWC Andrew Canon said the rates will be increased by 11.7%.

He said the NWC has no control over the factors impacting the increase in fuel costs.

He also gave an update on storage capacity at the dams.
