The National Water Commission (NWC) says there will be outages and shutdowns of some of its facilities during certain hours to cushion the impacts of the ongoing Russia/Ukraine war.
In a release last evening (March 14), the NWC said the measures are a result of the escalating oil prices, due to tensions in eastern Europe.
Communications Manager at the NWC Andrew Canon told IRIE FM news that oil is a very essential part of the cost of the company’s operation, therefore the measures are necessary.
He is urging citizens to conserve water.
