Olympian Natoya Goule wins Women’s 600 meters on the weekend

Olympian Natoya Goule won the women’s 600metres at the Clemson Orange & Purple Invitational on the weekend.

Goule clocked 1 minute 28.20 to capture the event

Goule ran the first 200m lap in 28.83, the second in 29.04 and her final time around the track was timed in 29.33.

Meanwhile former Wolmers girls star athlete Shauna Helps, representing Florida State, took the runner up spot in the women’s 200 meters in 23.82 seconds behind Olympian Joanna Atkins who crossed the line in 23.58 seconds.

In the meantime Carifta games under-18 champion, Damion Thomas was the only Jamaican winner at the Louisiana State University (LSU) Purple Tiger meet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

LSU’s Thomas, who qualified with the second best time of 8.08m, returned to take the final in 7.84 seconds in the 60 meters hurdles

Jamaican long jumper Damar Forbes placed 5th in the men’s 60m dash in 6.79 seconds behind LSU’s Jaron Flournoy who stopped the clock in 6.71seconds.
