Despite bureaucratic concerns the city of Delhi will host all four of the ICC World Twenty/20 matches it was initially scheduled to host.

It had been reported that the Indian capital territory’s chances of hosting matches for the tournament, which begins in March, were in jeopardy, with the Delhi and district cricket association allegedly struggling to gain the requisite approval from various government civic agencies.

However, the three group matches and first semi-final that were originally pencilled in for the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium were included when the ICC released its schedule for the event earlier today.

The warm-up itinerary for the competing nations was also announced, with hosts India facing West Indies in Kolkata on March 10, the same day champions Sri Lanka meet New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Other highlights include the ‘black caps’ taking on England at the BKC in Mumbai on March 12, while Australia will go up against the Caribbean side in Kolkata on March 13, and Pakistan play Sri Lanka at the same venue a day later.
