The Clarendon police have arrested and charged one man in connection to the recovery of over 20 goats.

Police recovered twenty-three stolen goats that were being transported along the Hayes main road yesterday.

Reports are that about 5:30 p.m., a team of officers signalled the driver of a Toyota Caldina motor car to stop.

He obeyed but made his escape into a nearby community.

The other occupant was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure.

Charged with larceny of goat is 29-year-old Derron Taylor of Hayes, Clarendon.

The police are asking the driver of the motor vehicle to turn himself in to the nearest police station.

Meantime, persons who have had their goats stolen are being asked to contact the Hayes police at 986-5130.
