A forty-one-year-old man was shot dead and two other people shot and wounded by gunmen along the Ocho Rios Bypass, in St. Ann, last evening (March 23).

The deceased has been identified as Julian Facey, of Parry Town, St. Ann.

Reports from the Ocho Rios police are that about 7:00 PM., Facey was driving a Toyota Mark 2 towards St. Mary with two passengers aboard, when upon reaching a section of the Ocho Rios bypass, gunmen alighted from another vehicle and opened fire at them.

The three wounded persons were taken to hospital where Facey was pronounced dead and the others admitted in stable condition.
