Opposition calls for formal coordinated programme to deal with issues affecting students

by March 25th, 2022

Opposition Spokesperson on Education, Dr. Angela Brown Burke is calling on the Government to implement a formal coordinated programme to deal with issues affecting students.

Noting that too many students are getting involved in violent activities, Dr. Brown Burke says it has become obvious that the issue should be addressed at the Government level.

She notes that the recent spate of violent school-related incidents is concerning, especially for parents who believe that schools are no longer a safe haven for their children.

Dr. Burke also stressed the importance of the Government partnering with parents, churches, civic organizations and communities to address the spate of violence involving students.
