Opposition Spokesman on Health, Dr. Dayton Campbell, has chastised the Health Ministry for not putting the public on alert for H1N1 influenza.

This, in the wake of reports that persons have died from complications associated with the virus, and more persons have been hospitalised with symptoms.

Dr. Campbell says, the alert issued by the ministry last month, only had persons being aware of the seasonal flu, not the more serious H1 N1 influenza.

Dr. Campbell says, the only way citizens can be responsible about their health, and take the necessary precautions, is if they are made aware of the threats.
