People’s National Party President, Dr. Peter Phillips has expressed that members of the party who supported Peter Bunting in his campaign for presidency, will be included in the new shadow cabinet.

Several Rise United members had tendered their resignations following Mr. Bunting’s defeat on Saturday, however, Dr. Phillips has asked that all members of the shadow cabinet remain in place until after the party’s conference when a re-assignment will be done.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, Dr. Phillips noted that no member of the shadow cabinet will be dismissed on the basis of having supported his opponent in Saturday’s presidential election.

The PNP President said by all indications he believes individuals currently serving, want to remain in place.
