Opposition Leader says he does not support mandatory vaccination

by October 11th, 2021

Opposition Leader, Mark Golding says he is not in support of mandatory Covid-19 vaccination.

Mr. Golding stated his position today (October 11), during a press conference.

Last week, Prime Minister Andrew Holness indicated that new vaccination policies are to be implemented after the government completes its public education campaign.

When questioned about his stance on mandatory vaccination, Mr. Golding said with the majority of the population not in support of the measure, it should not be implemented.

He added that the lack of vaccine indemnity is another reason the vaccine should not be mandatory.
