Opposition Leader Mark Golding has pledged that the next People’s National Party government will recognise the sacramental rights of indigenous people.

Speaking at the annual Accompong Maroon Festival in St. Elizabeth on Friday (January 6), Mr. Golding said this would include the use of ganja by members of the Rastafarian and Maroon communities.

He said a PNP government will ensure that small ganja farmers are included in the industry.
