A man of the match performance by Jamaican pacer Sheldon Cottrell last night lifted the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots to an easy 7 wickets home win against CPL struggles St. Lucia Stars.
The visitors……chasing a second win in two years, were bundled out for just 69 runs in 12.3 overs after losing the toss and being asked to bat by Chris Gayle.
Afghanistan all-rounder Qais Ahmed who made 24 was the only batsman to make more than 14.
Cottrell….3 for 14 from 2.3 overs, was the top Patriots bowler while there was 2 wickets each for Mahmadullah and Sandeep Lamichhane.
The patriots in reply sauntered home at 70 for 3 in just 8 overs, led by Devon Thomas’s unbeaten 38 from 21 balls.
The Patriots with the one-sided result move to 4th on the table and team captain Chris Gayle is looking ahead to the upcoming matches.
The CPL continues today with the Jamaica Tallawahs facing Barbados Tridents at Lauderhill.
