Pearnel Charles Jnr working with Ruddy Spencer to assure S E Clarendon constituents

Pearnel Charles Jnr says he will be working to gain the confidence of all the constituents of South East Clarendon.

 

Senator  Charles Jnr, who is a minister without portfolio in the ministry of economic growth and job creation,  will be  the Jamaica Labour Party’s,  candidate in the upcoming south east Clarendon by-election.

 

The seat became vacant, following Rudyard Spencer’s resignation as a member of parliament.

 

Yesterday, Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced that nomination day for the by election to fill the seat will be Wednesday February 12, and Election Day will be on Monday, March 2.

 

The by election will not be contested by the opposition Peoples National Party.

 

Speaking with Irie FM News today, Mr. Charles Jnr. confirmed that he will be going up for the seat.

 

He said he will be working together with Mr. Spencer in the constituency.

 

 

Noting that it is P M Holness’ decision to choose who will replace him in the Senate, Mr. Charles Jnr says he is positive that Mr. Holness will make a good choice.
