The fifth form Penwood High School student, who was stabbed by a schoolmate yesterday (Mar 26), remains in serious but stable condition at hospital.

The 16-year-old was stabbed during a dispute with another student on the school compound, about 1:50 pm.

Sergeant Alex Bloomfield of the Community, Safety and Security Branch, who met with school officials today, says the police are trying to locate the other student who allegedly did the stabbing.

He says the administration of the Penwood High school is working to implement strategies to prevent a recurrence of such an incident.
