The police are reportedly finalizing plans to prosecute persons who blocked several roadways in eastern Portland recently.

Earlier this month, scores of residents in communities such as Fairy Hill used debris and stones, to block the roads to register their frustration over a lack of water, poor road conditions and dust nuisance.

Head of the Portland police, Superintendent Lloyd Darby said the protests were done illegally, and affected many institutions and businesses.

He said persons who blocked the roads have been caught on video, and will be identified and prosecuted.

He was speaking at the recent meeting of the Portland Municipal Corporation.
