Pete Russel says imposing T/20 cap on players is a good idea

by July 10th, 2018

Chief Operations Officer of the Caribbean Premier League Pete Russell says imposing T/20 cap on players is a good idea.

The majority of full members of the ICC have given an in-principle nod to capping player participation to no more than three T/20 leagues per year.

Russell lauds the move as in his opinion, there is too much leagues creeping up.

Both the chief executive committee (CEC) and the ICC Board have discussed the issue at the annual conference in Dublin last weekend,  and a broad consensus has emerged that if players are allowed to participate in any number of leagues, it will start affecting international bilateral cricket.
