The Pleasant Valley Primary and Infant School in Clarendon has been plunged into mourning following the passing of one of its teachers.

Ms Yasmin Gordon passed away at the weekend.

Principal of the Institution Shelly-Ann Johnson told IRIE FM news that Miss Gordon had been ailing for some time.

She said the staff has been shaken by the news.

She said Ms. Gordon, who had been at the institution for over 10 years, was a dedicated teacher.

Ms. Gordon is among at least 10 teachers who have died in the past month.
