As the country battles several price increases, especially for food, Prime Minister Andrew Holness is stressing the importance of producing more, as one way to tackle Jamaica’s food crisis.

Mr. Holness notes that while the Government has a responsibility to respond with social welfare programmes, the country must also increase its agricultural output.

He says the Agriculture Ministry has a plan to increase the country’s agricultural production.

He also urged Jamaican investors to start investing in food production and security on local and regional levels.
