PM Holness meets with Petrojam management and staff

by July 13th, 2018

Prime Minister Andrew Holness today (Jul 13) met with the executive management team and staff of the state owned oil refinery Petrojam.

Mr. Holness was visiting Petrojam for the first time since taking over the energy portfolio, on July 4.

The refinery has been embroiled in allegations of mismanagement and corruption, for which the Opposition PNP has repeatedly called for the former Energy Minister, Dr. Andrew Wheatley, to be relieved of all portfolio responsibilities.

Mr. Holness sought to reassure the workers of the government’s plan, to strategically make Jamaica energy secure, and to ensure Petrojam is a viable option.

He said all will be done to ensure that normality is returned to the company.
