Police attempt to mend relations with mother of assaulted Trelawny boy

Commanding Officer for Trelawny, Superintendent Dwight Powell has invited the mother of the child victim to a meeting.

The mother of the seven-year-old boy, who is said to have been the victim of the assault at his school, was charged for disorderly conduct.

Initial reports suggest that personnel from the Clarks Town police arrested the mother because she was disrespectful.

According to Superintendent Powell, the meeting is aimed at mending the relationship between the mother and the police.

He says the matter will not be dropped.

The mother is to appear in court at a later date.
