Police have released the identity of the man killed in a case of death by misadventure at the National Chest Hospital in ST Andrew yesterday.
He is 29 year old Omar Walker a labourer of Bedward Gardens, ST Andrew.
Police say he died from injuries received when the contents of a truck spilled on him on the grounds of the hospital yesterday.
Reports from the Matilda’s Corner Police are that about 12:10 pm, Walker was directing the driver of a Leyland motor truck, containing silt, to offload the contents in a hole, when the truck capsized into a pit spilling the silt on walker.
The fire brigade was summoned and with the help of a crane, Walker was removed and taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations continue.
