The Trelawny police are conducting investigations, following reports of an abduction attempt in Wakefield, recently.

Irie Fm news understands that two children were almost abducted by persons travelling in a motor car in the area.

A voice recording of the claims has gone viral on social media, as a warning to parents and guardians to safeguard their children.

Head of the Trelawny police, Acting Superintendent Winston Milton has confirmed that a report of the abduction attempt, was made to lawmen, and that the matter is being investigated.

He is urging residents not to be alarmed, but to remain vigilant.
