The St. Catherine police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 1-year-old boy, who is said to have drowned at his home in Bridgeport, on Tuesday (May 17).

The toddler has been identified as Benton Cohall Junior.

Reports from the Portmore Police are that about 12:50 p.m., Benton was at home with his parents when he was discovered faced down in a bath pan of water.

He was taken to hospital were he was pronounced dead.
