The police are probing the murder of a businesswoman, who was shot dead by gunmen during a home invasion in Clarendon last evening (June 1).

Dead is forty-two-year-old Melissa Clarke-Wright a resident of Battersea District, Spalding, Clarendon.

Police reports are that at about 7:30 pm, Mrs. Clarke-Wright was at home with family members when two armed robbers kicked off the door of the house.

They then demanded money from Mrs. Clarke -Wright and shot her several times.

The police were alerted and she was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The other family members escaped unhurt.
