Police Youth Club Council calls for end to attacks on teachers

by February 27th, 2020

The National Police Youth Club Council (NPYCC) has expressed concern over the growing attacks on the nation’s educators.

Speaking with Irie FM News, Public Relations Officer of the NPYCC Andre McIntosh says all attacks on teachers and school administrators must stop immediately.

He states that while disagreements are unavoidable, the council condemns any act of violence against educators.

Noting that a number of students have been attacking teachers, Mr. McIntosh, is encouraging parents, to enforce a more positive influence in their children’s lives.

He is also imploring parents to use non-confrontational alternatives to settle disputes with teachers.

He explains that, parents and guardians must set examples that children can emulate.

Stressing that the perpetuation of violence is hindering the growth of the country, Mr. McIntosh is calling for peace and added security in schools.
