PopCaan’s ‘Firm and Strong’ featured on Power Book IV: Force soundtrack

PopCaan’s ‘Firm and Strong’ released in 2018, was featured on the soundtrack of Starz popular series, Power Book IV: Force.

The show which is the third spin-off in the Power franchise, executively produced by American rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, saw PopCaan’s ‘Firm and Strong’ being played for approximately 2 minutes and 46 seconds, during episode three of Season one on Sunday (Feb 20).

Following the episode’s premiere, ‘Firm and Strong’ produced by Dre Skull gained a spot in the top 10 of the US iTunes Reggae Song chart, by climbing to No. 8.

‘Firm and Strong’ is featured on PopCaan’s sophomore album, Forever.

In recent times, Dancehall and Reggae have been enjoying some major global recognition.

Last month, Sister Nancy’s 1982 hit Bam Bam was featured in Episode 1 of Season 4 of Netflix’s popular series, Ozark. Last year, Bam Bam was also featured on the soundtrack of the Netflix series Maid.

Meanwhile, the movie soundtrack of popular Netflix western, ‘The Harder They Fall’ featured Grammy entertainer Koffee on the title track, Barrington Levy’s timeless classic ‘Here I Come’ and ‘Better Than Gold’ along with Dennis Brown’s hit ‘Promised Land’ released in 1985.

Late last year, the iconic Dancehall Sleng Teng Riddim was featured in a commercial for Meta, formerly Facebook.
