112 Portland residents who were affected by severe flooding last month, received relief grants from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, this morning (Feb 2).

Speaking at the handing over ceremony Labour and Social Security Minister Shahine Robinson said teams from the ministry carried out assessments in several communities.

The assessments revealed the extent to which residents and business operators were impacted by the recent flood rains.

Mrs. Robinson urged the recipients to use the grant funds wisely.

In the meantime, one beneficiary Kelvin Watts expressed appreciation to the ministry and other stakeholders.
