Prime Minister Andrew Holness has indicated that the mask mandate will be re–instated in short order.

He gave the indication at the handing over ceremony of a home under the New Social Housing Project in St. James, today (May 20).

The Prime Minister’s statement follows confirmation earlier this week, that the country is experiencing a fifth wave of Covid-19 infections.

He said all citizens will be required to return to mask wearing.

He urged all persons to be responsible.

Mr. Holness also reiterated the call for persons to get vaccinated.
