Prime Minister says more changes will be made to the Cabinet

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says more changes will be made to the Cabinet in the months to come.

Mr. Holness says in any government, there is always the need for human resource management, like any other organization.

He states that people must be placed in positions that suit their competencies.

Mr. Holness says in this iteration, his administration has addressed some areas of government performance and will address other areas in the near future.

He was speaking at the swearing in ceremony for three government ministers this morning (January 11).

Former Attorney General Marlene Malahoo Forte is to serve as Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs – a newly created ministry.

Floyd Green returned to the Cabinet as a Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister.

Frank Witter is to serve as Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and Dr. Derrick Mckoy, a former Contractor General of Jamaica, was also sworn in as the new Attorney General.
