Police have intensified their probe, into the attack on the principal of the St. Hildas High School in Brown’s Town, St. Ann, last evening (Jun 20).
Area 2 Commander, ACP Elbert Nelson, said cops have among other things, launched a search of the area.
Reports are that about 7:00 p.m. the principal was entering the cottage – which is on the school compound- when an armed robber attacked her.
She has since been hospitalised with chop wounds to her hands.
ACP Nelson said investigators have collected a statement from the principal.
He said at the moment, police are not seeing a trend, that would require heightened police presence in the area.
