The government is moving to automate the processing of public pensions through the development of a digital platform to be implemented in the public sector.

Speaking in the budget debate yesterday (Mar 7) Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke noted that on the heels of the government’s passing of the Public Pension Reform Act last year, measures will be taken to change from the current paper based system.

In the meantime, Dr. Clarke said the private pension reform bill will be tabled in parliament later this year, as government moves towards making pensions more accessible for the working population.
