Opposition Leader, Portia Simpson Miller has expressed disappointment that after one year, the government has not delivered the promised crime plan.
She said of late, Jamaica has experienced a troubling upward trend in violence against women, children and the elderly.
Mrs Simpson Miller was delivering her final speech as Leader of the Opposition in parliament Thursday.
Mrs Simpson miller encouraged Jamaicans to come together in their common interest and personal security. She urged Jamaicans not to harbour criminals who are bent on destroying communities and the lives of loved ones.
The Opposition Leader also commended several sectors of Jamaica that continue to play their part in the fight against crime.
