The Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) says strategies to curb crime, violence and corruption in Jamaica should be free from political influence.

Speaking at the People’s National Party (PNP) crime summit in downtown Kingston this morning PSOJ President Howard Mitchell said the political point scoring must be put aside in order to effectively address the problem.

He also noted that the public cannot be excluded from the discussions.

The summit which was held at the conference centre in downtown Kingston.

A private session was held to facilitate further discussions.
