by June 24th, 2020

Dancehall deejay Quada is anxious to get his trial over and done with.

Stacy Knight, one of the attorneys representing the dancehall deejay appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday, where the case was set for mention. According to Ms. Knight, apart from setbacks as a result of COVID-19, the process is slow.

Quada today had his bail extended.

23-year-old was charged with the murder of Miguel Williams on April 17, 2019. According to reports, an angry mob forced its way into Williams’ house, beat him, placed tyres around his body, and lit him inside the building. He was burnt beyond recognition.

Williams’ murder is believed to be in retaliation to the murder of eight-year-old Shantae Skyers, a student of Red Hills Primary School. Skyers had gone missing in April 2019; days after, her body was found in Sterling Castle Heights.
