French open tennis winner Rafael Nadal has jumped into second place in the newly revised men’s ATP rankings.

The Spaniard who jumped two places in the rankings, won his 10th French open title yesterday, after the culmination of a highly successful clay court season, after he defeated Stan Warinka 6-2,6-3,6-1.

Meanwhile, Andy Murray remains number despite losing in the semi-finals of the French open to Stan Wawrinka. Novak Djokovic has dropped out of the top three in the ATP for the first time since October 2009 after exiting the French open in the quarter-finals.

Djokovic has now slid down to fourth, moving out of the top two for the first time since March 2011, while Roger Federer completes the top five.

The top ten is completed by Milos Raonic, Marin Cilic, Dominic Thiem, Kei Nishikori and  Alexander Zverev in that order.
