Raheem Chambers completes switch from the University of Auburn to the University of Miami

Former st Jago high sprinter Raheem Chambers has completed a switch from the University of Auburn to the University of Miami.

The 21 year old is the third Jamaican athlete to leave the Alabama-based institution for the state of Florida since the end of last season.

He joins former auburn teammates and compatriot’s Jonielle Smith, Akeem Bloomfield and Nathon Allen, whom both went pro after their sophomore seasons, from his professional base in Florida.

Last summer fellow juniors and former teammates Natalliah Whyte and Renee Shaw made the move to Florida Atlantic University.

Chambers enters the coral gables campus with championship pedigree having NCAA national and SEC Indoor Championships 60 metres silver medals as well as an outdoor 100 meters silver medal from the toughest conference in college track and field, under his belt.
