Jamaican born, English winger Raheem Sterling could make history by becoming the first footballer to wear Jordan brand boots.

The Manchester City forward is reportedly considering a £100million offer from Nike in one of the most lucrative boot deals ever.

Sterling had his shooting boots on at the weekend – scoring a hat-trick in Manchester City’s 5-0 thrashing of West Ham to start the season.

Jordan brand is a subsidiary of Nike and moved into football last year with the launch of a stunning ‘Jordan X PSG’ range.

Paris Saint-Germain’s away and third kits last season and their away strip this campaign all carry the Jordan logo instead of the Nike badge.

And it seems Nike want to bring a professional footballer under the Jordan banner as well, similar to what they’ve done with in the US with NBA.

Nike are kit manufacturers for all 30 teams in the basketball league and Michael Jordan’s team Charlotte Hornets carry the Jordan badge on their jerseys.

And high-profile players such as Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin, Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker and Carmelo Anthony are all part of the Jordan family.

Sterling is one of the most coveted athletes for brands in the United Kingdom after his raise in profile of late.
