With heavy rains causing several roadways in the Corporate Area to become inundated, impeding traffic flow, the police are out monitoring the situation and guiding motorists.

Rains have been affecting sections of the island since yesterday, and it’s expected that the showers will continue into next Monday.

Head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, ACP Calvin Allen said among the flooded corridors are Waltham Park Road and Marcus Garvey Drive.

ACP Allen is urging motorists to exercise patience as they traverse the flooded roadways.
