by June 20th, 2017

Jamaican international Deshorn Brown has signed with D.C. United in the US Major League .

The Jamaican striker who makes the move from Tampa Bay Rowdies is reportedly United’s first acquisition in what appears likely to be a busy summer for the club.

The 26 year old who has 14 caps for Jamaica was the leading scorer for the Colorado rapids as rookie in 2013, and his 10 goals and 4 assist performance saw him finish second in rookie of the year voting that year.

He managed another 10 goal season in 2014 despite consistently floating between a role as a striker and as a left winger. However early in the 2015 season, the rapids opted to sell him on to Norwegian team Valerenga.

In Norway Brown scored 13 goals in 37 appearances before being sold to second division Chinese club Shenzen Fc for a reported 1.2 million dollars.  He scored 7 goals in 14 appearances there before leaving the club and becoming a free agent in late February.
