Reggae boys defender O’Neil fisher has been ruled out of the rest of the 2018 MLS season after suffering a knee injury on the weekend.
Fisher suffered the injury in dc United’s 5-nil win over the Montreal impact on Saturday and the club confirmed yesterday that he will undergo surgery for a partially Torn Anterior Cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, posterior cruciate and medial meniscus.
The 26 year old Fisher was enjoying his best season in MLS, his first with D.C united.
He had played in a career high 24 games this season, to help dc united to sit just two points behind the Montreal Impact for the eastern conference’s final playoff spot, with two games in hand.
Another reggae boy Darren Mattocks was an 83rd minute substitute in the game ………………Fishers injury saw him being taken out in the 55th minute.
