Reggae Boys suffer 3-1 loss to Peru

The delegation of Jamaica’s Senior Reggae Boys in Peru are coming home tomorrow.

The reggae boys suffered a 3-1 loss to hosts Peru in a friendly international in Lima, last night in a contest which the South Americans totally dominated.

First-half goals from Edison Flores in the 21st and Renato Tapia in the 43rd minute as well as   a second half-strike from Paolo Guerrero gave the South Americans the win.

Jamaica’s   consolation goal came when Owayne Gordon was adjudged to have been fouled inside the box and veteran Jermaine ‘teddy’ Johnson slotted home the resulting penalty in the 86th minute.

The Reggae Boyz, used the game as preparation for the upcoming Caribbean football championship and the gold cup tournament, and in honour of former JFF President Captain Horace Burrell who passed away last Tuesday in the United States.
