Reggae Boyz battle to 2-2 draw with South Korea

by January 30th, 2018

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz on Tuesday battled to a creditable 2-2 draw in their friendly international against World Cup bound South Korea at the Antalya Sports club in Turkey.

The Jamaicans took the lead through Dane Kelly in the 4th minute, a position they would hold until half-time despite conceding the bulk of possession to their opponents.

The South Koreans, after a more purposeful start to the second half, would equalize and then take the lead through Kim Shin-Wook in the 55th and 63rd minutes respectively.

The Reggae Boyz would however secure a share of the spoils thanks to a spectacular shot by substitute Maalique Foster 18 minutes from time.

Tuesday’s result follows the 1-1 draw with Romanian club CS Gaz Metan Medias on Saturday.

The South Korea used the match as preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia where they will contest Group F alongside defending champions Germany, Mexico and Sweden.
