Reggae Boyz slide on FIFA Rankings, Germany still no.1

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have dropped another two spots on the FIFA Coca Cola World Rankings.

The latest release, which is the final edition before the start of the upcoming World Cup in Russia, sees the Boyz occupying the number 54 spot.

The team despite the slide are still the highest ranked team in the Caribbean and 4th overall in CONCACAF.

Mexico meanwhile continues lead all CONCACAF teams at 15 followed by Costa Rica (23rd, up 2) and the United States (25th, down 1)

Panama (55), Honduras (62), El Salvador (72), Canada (79), Curacao (81), and Trinidad and Tobago (91), are also in the top 100.

World champions Germany meanwhile still lead the way and will hold top spot heading into the World Cup ahead of Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and Argentina.

The rest of the top 10 includes Switzerland, France, Poland, Chile and Spain.

Tunisia is the highest African team on the rankings at 21 while tournament hosts Russia 70th making them the lowest ranked team going into the event.
