by March 1st, 2021

Jamaica’s Boyz will ramp up preparations for a big year in football including the Gold Cup and 2022 World Cup qualifying in July.

This with an International Friendly against the United States on march 25 at the Neustadt Stadium in Viener, Austria.

Due to the pandemic the match will be conducted without fans.

This will be an official FIFA window giving head coach Theodore Tappa Whitmore the opportunity to call up players based domestically and abroad.

JFF President Michael Ricketts says the venue was selected specifically by the us because of the low Covid numbers in Austria.

Since 1988 Jamaica and the United states have met 26 times with the s holding a 16 -3 -8 overall record.

Meanwhile there are reports that the JFF administration and the players could be heading for the now familiar showdown over match fee and bonuses.

Ricketts when quizzed on this latest development says they are hopeful that the JFF and the players will strike a balance in short order.
