Under 20 Reggae Girl Rachael Walters will be leaving the island today to take up a four year scholarship programme at Oregon State University, where she will be perusing a degree in accounting and operations.

The 18 year old former St Jago High school defender who won the 2014 ISSA school girls title with st Jago will be wearing the Beavers jersey when the new season starts on august 17.

Walters who picked up a knee injury back in 2016 while playing for GC Foster College in the Sherwin Williams women’s premier league, and completed a surgery in July last year has recovery sufficiently to train again.

She told Irie Fm sports that she is extremely grateful for this milestone in her football career.
