Reggae Girls now in South Africa ahead of friendly international

The sensational striker Khadija Shaw and the inspirational play maker Deneisha blackwood have been named in Jamaica’s senior reggae girls 20 member squad who are now in South Africa.

The Jamaican delegation left the island on Monday morning to face South Africa national women’s team in a friendly international in Durban on April 7th. While in South Africa the Reggae Girls will also stage a one week camp.

Also named in the squad is Marlo Sweatman who scored in Jamaica’s recent one nil win over Chile in the first of two friendly internationals in the island, while the noticeable absentee is the exciting striker Jody Ann Brown from St Ann.

The squad is completed by goal keepers Sydney Schneider and Nicole Mcclure, along with defenders Brittany Simpson, Konya Plummer, Shanel Hudson-marks, Dominique Bond-Flasza, Christina Chang in addition to the Italian based pair of Allyson Swaby and Toriana Patterson.

Included in the midfield line up are Chinyelu Asher, Marlo Sweatman, Chantelle Swaby, Jadyn Matthews and Laura Jackson, while the forwards include Ashleigh Shim, olu-fola- sade Adamolekun, Sashana Campbell and Shakira Duncan.

The game will kick-off at 3:00pm (8:00am Jamaica) in the historic Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Hue Menzies is the head coach and with him is assistant coaches Lorne Donaldson  and Andrew price – Jean nelson is the team manager and Marline Brown – head of delegation.
