Reggae Girls wins Caribbean Under 20 Championship

Jamaica’s under 20 Reggae Girls were crowned Caribbean Champions last night after stomping their class in a 9-nil demolition of host st Kitts in the final of the Caribbean under 20 women’s championship.

Marlee fray led the way for the Jamaican team with a triple strike, as she scored in the 51st 73rd and 87th minutes respectively.

Jody Brown and Shalya Smart were also on the scoresheet with each netting a double.

Brown scored in the 9th and 79th minutes while smart scored in the 7th and 84th minutes.

The Reggae Girls who had already advanced to the Concacaf Championship in January, finished the tournament unbeaten following earlier victories over the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

National assistant coach Xavier Gilbert was satisfied with a job well done.
